Digital Blog Post I

My Online poster Using Trackk

So I'm not sure why, but I think the link was not working. Below is the copy of the best via blogger.

Developing A lesson Plan Using Technology

Lesson design and development refers to all the activities that teachers do to create, teach, and evaluate lessons with students, encompassing a teacher’s decisions about three interrelated elements of classroom instruction.
1. Academic Content: Or the facts, concepts, ideas, skills, and understandings intended to be shared with students.
     - Content can be fund through many online and technological sources. Educators must remember that researching via the internet can't be a primary source of content. Using online book archives to find scholarly sources is a great way of incorporating technology use into your academic content.
2. Teaching Goals, Methods, and Procedures: The reasons why the lesson is being taught, the instructional strategies teachers use to convey the content, and the scheduling, time management, and grouping of students by teachers during a lesson
     - This aspect of the lesson plan is the absolute best way t incorporate technology. Through the use of Presentation software, Teacher-developed websites, Web Quests and etc. You can appeal your lesson plan to the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. Personally, my favorite types of  Presentation Software is Prezi and Piktochart. These are fun and creative visual aids that have stuck to them. I plan to include them in my lesson plans as much as possible. The book also mentioned the My Lesson Plan app, and I absolutely love it. It creates a template for you based on your school district and makes life so easy for the teacher.
3. Learning Assessments: How teachers evaluate student knowledge, understanding and performance.
-Learning Assessments are another great way to incorporate  technology through the use of Electronic tests/quizzes, Digital portfolios, and online learning systems. I recently observed some middle school classes, and they were using technology fairly similar to Canvas for FSW. They use Compass Learning, an web based program that allows students to view grades, assignments and quizzes in real time. It also connects you directly to your teacher any time. Its really the best way to track student performance.
There are many ways to include technology into a lesson plan, and in my opinion students are changing they way they learn. Children are growing up and using tables and cell phone apps as soon as they are old enough to crawl.
I used to baby sit for a family, and their son was learning how to talk. He was very young, maybe one or two years old. He knew how to talk but his parents emphasized that they wanted to teach him how to form complete sentences. They wanted me to help his development, and they way they were teaching him was using an iPad App that taught words and phrases to kids in a fun, game like way.
Educators have to adapt to this change in technology and realize that our young students can comprehend technology and are learning to use it as a necessity, not just as a luxury. By incorporating Technology into a lesson plan, you are connecting with your students technological skills on a level of reference they can relate to. In the video link, you will see a student vouching for the use of technology in the classrooms. Our students are asking for technology, and we shouldn't neglect their desire for education.

Digital Blog Post E

I chose yet another creative link to my digital blog post, so please click the link below to read my storybook on chapter seven. I wanted to emphasize the aspect of chapter seven in our textbook on learning with computer games. Gaming proves to be beneficial with classrooms, so long as the teacher takes the time to review the appropriate software. The video below did a great jog at emphasizing the benefits of gasification in classrooms.

Digital Blog Post C

After reading the chapters, I decided to focus on technologies that engaged students, and how teachers could use that to strengthen their skill. Please see the presentation in the link below for key features of chapter three.
